Fragments

The main inspiration for the project was the countless ceramic pottery fragments found in archeological excavations in Keros, that attest to the ceramics of the time, their decoration, and the type of various vessels with engraved, embossed, and painted designs. Keros was a place of deposition of fragments of clay and marble figurines. That makes clear the people's philosophy and the respect they showed for the material goods that nature had generously given them, such as soil and marble, returning them back to it after use. This respect in the present age has disappeared. The artists created fragments of pottery from red clay and engraved designs with black coating on their surface as a tribute to Keros, nature, and the art of clay.
