Sealed Earth Gallery, for its first participation at Ceramics Brussels, presents a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Maggy Ioannou.

“Constellations for the Tender & the Vicious”

Rooted in an emotional grid, the series unfolds as an existential conversation on the behaviours that govern human relations, diachronically. Departing from the medieval moral taxonomy of the seven deadly sins, Ioannou reconfigures that ethic grid into a contemporary constellation of instincts and social drives. Mythic femininities, apotropaic eyes, votive charms, serpents and animal-human hybrids form a ritual vocabulary through which these forces become visible and narratable.
